Privacy Policy

Just Laptops takes the safety of our customers' personal information seriously. Any information we collect from you will be treated in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 (the Privacy Act).



SECTION 1 - USING INFORMATION ABOUT YOU


(1) You authorise us to use any information we have about you, and to collect information about you for any reasonable purposes related to our business including but not limited to obtaining credit reports, registering security interests, reporting overdue debts to debt collection agencies or credit reporting agencies.


(2) The information we collect and retain may include, but not limited to: name and address(es), contact phone number, email addresses, personal identification (including photo IDs, such as NZ driver's license, passport, 18+ Card, etc.)


(3) We use this information to provide any quotes, orders, services or transactions with you (see Terms and Conditions for more details). Personal photo ID is necessary if you need to collect any goods from any of the Just Laptops stores as we need to confirm the identification of the person that collects any goods. We may need to take a photocopy or scan of the identification supplied. This also protects your interest and security as a customer.


(4) Personal information obtained by Just Laptops Ltd., and its franchise businesses, Kiwidigi Ltd. (Just Laptops Albany), Just Laptops Services Ltd., Digilink Ltd., Mummum Ltd., Mummum Takapuna Ltd., the logistics providers, the manufacturers and their service centres, may be shared and accessed among themselves internally, to conduct any necessary businesses or facilitate any transactions or services.


(5) We do not pass on any of our customer’s information to other third-parties. We keep our customers' information confidential and use them for the sole purpose for a sale and/or conducting any businesses or services requested by you. We do not sell customers' information to any businesses or vendors.


(6) We may need to send you product information (including but not limited to product manual, warranty and product care information) in the mail or by e-mail.


(7) We offer the functionality that allows you to create or login to your account, or contact us via messaging using a third-party service, such as Facebook, Google or Apple ID login. If you choose to make use of a third-party service for creating or logging into your account, we may access information about you which may include your public profile information, such as name, email address, phone number and profile picture. All of your personal information will be encrypted during the whole process. justlaptops.co.nz will not be able to access/ modify/ review your personal information or post to your personal wall. By using these social logins, you have reviewed and agree to the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policies of these social platforms.


(8) If you refuse or do not wish to provide any information that you are asked for, we may not be able to proceed with the transaction if such information is required to conduct the transaction in a legitimate manner while protecting the interests of both you as the customer and us. In this case, your transaction could be cancelled or rejected.


(9) For more information about your right of access to and correction of information held by us please refer to the Privacy Act 2020. Subject to the Privacy Act, a fee for retrieval and correction of information may be charged if appropriate.



SECTION 2 - MARKETING AND ADVERTISING


(1) Just Laptops may collect shopper statistics, including the use of Google Analytics and Meta Pixel (aka Facebook Pixel). None of these statistics will contain any information about identifiable customers and their individual shopping habits. By using apps & services provided by Google, Meta Platforms and other services, you agree to their terms & conditions and privacy policy.

(2) OneAffiniti runs channel marketing campaigns and data analytics for Just Laptops. You may choose to sign up or opt in to newsletter or marketing emails from Just Laptops. If you no longer wish to receive any newsletter or marketing emails from us, you can find and click on the "unsubscribe" link in each of our marketing emails.



SECTION 3 - ONLINE PAYMENT TRANSACTION SECURITY


(1) Just Laptops does not store, retain or process any credit cards or internet banking information.

(2) Credit Card payments are processed via an authorised payment gateway that facilitates transactions between your bank and our bank. Paystation by Trademe processes transactions for all credit and debit cards transactions online. 

(3) Internet Banking (POLi Payments) is a payment method which allows customers log into their online banking using POLi's secure portal to make a payment. It is one of the most popular payment methods of choice being used by many New Zealand companies, such as Air New Zealand and The Warehouse Group.



SECTION 4 - OTHER LEGAL STUFF


(1) Governing law - The contract (and these terms) are governed by the laws of New Zealand.

(2) Waiver - If we waive one default it does not mean that we waive of any later default (even if it's the same type of default). If we fail to exercise any right (or delay in doing so) it doesn't mean we waive that right.

(3) No assignment - You can not assign or transfer this contract without our prior written consent.
